Plan strives for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. In Norway, we are committed to becoming the leading organization in promoting girls’ and young women’s rights.
We work to protect children and young adolescents from violence and forced marriages, and give them opportunities through work and education. In a crisis we have a particular focus on girls, as conflicts and natural disasters put children and especially girls at greater risk.
Our child sponsors make this work possible. Through child sponsorship, Plan is in direct contact with 1,2 million sponsored children and their families, which gives us an unique knowledge of the 55.000 local communities in which we are present. Plan also partners with companies, schools, and institutional donors as Norad and MFA.
