RFN is growing and changing and looks for a Senior HR advisor. As Senior HR advisor you are expected to develop and execute RFN HR policy in support of our strategy and plans. You are responsible for further developing and systematizing HR procedures, systems and a complete employee life cycle for both staff based in Norway and abroad, taking into account RFN’s duty of care and corresponding legal obligations. We are looking for an HR professional with experience in change management and preferably from working in an international context with different type of contractual requirements.

RFN is currently reviewing its organizational model, processes, salary policy and systems. Hence, the placement of this position is yet to be determined. The sooner the chosen candidate is available, the more s/he will be able to influence the definition of role, responsibility and placement of this position.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Ensure that RFN has the necessary HR policies, procedures and systems in place and that HR related procedures work seamlessly and effectively (development conversations, time management, etc.)
  • Oversee staffing needs and develop comprehensive employee life cycle management in support of strategy and plans
  • Negotiate employment agreements and benefits
  • Lead HR related projects (e.g. compensation and salary review)
  • Ensure compliance with Norwegian and other relevant labour law and that RFN acts as a responsible employer
  • Ensure communication, consultation and involvement with AMU, union and the employer organization
  • Ensure that RFN has responsible and adequate HR related systems and schemes (travel, insurance, pension, etc.) for Norway and abroad, also taking into account organizational growth

Skills & abilities:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent social, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and working with and within processes and systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English. Other relevant language skills are appreciated
  • Strong ability to listen, learn and collaborate
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Education & experience:

  • Masters in HR or equivalent
  • 5-10 years relevant work experience
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Experience from working in/ with international contexts
  • Experience from working with knowledge-based organizations/ companies
  • Experience in organizational development, growth- and change management
