Rainforest Foundation Norway seeks a Drivers of Deforestation Adviser for the Indonesia and Papua New Guinea programs.
Rainforest Foundation Norway (RFN) is one of Europe's leading organizations in the work to protect the world's rainforests and strengthen the rights of Indigenous Peoples in cooperation with indigenous and environmental organizations in Southeast Asia, Oceania, Central Africa, and the Amazon. RFN has been actively involved in preserving the largest intact rainforests in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea (PNG) through partnerships with local civil society organizations.
We seek a drivers of deforestation adviser for implementing and further developing RFN country-specific drivers of deforestation approach, priorities and plans in Indonesia in alignment with the overall strategic framework for the program and the organization. The position is additionally expected to give inputs to further strategy development within the relevant thematic and geographic scope.
Location:
RFN has its headquarters in Oslo. The position will be based in Oslo or other relevant locations, but extensive travel to Oslo will be required. The position will require work across multiple time zones, travel, and collaboration with colleagues in different regions. Availability to travel is expected.
