We are looking for a skilled and effective adviser to lead the Rainforest Foundation Norway’s advocacy work towards international and multilateral policy processes.
The next decade will be decisive to save the last tropical rainforests, and we at Rainforest Foundation Norway/Regnskogfondet (RFN) aim to achieve this goal. To do that, we need international policy arenas to provide necessary incentives for rainforest protection. You can play a central role in this.
Based in our policy team, you will work in an experienced and dedicated team of nine people that develop and execute RFNs international policy work, and collaborate with colleagues and partner organisations working to protect the rainforest across the Amazon, Congo Basin and Southeast Asia.
You will be tasked with scoping out relevant international processes that has a potential for large impact on rainforests, and lead the work on maximising our influence through targeted advocacy work.

Rainforest Foundation Norway supports indigenous peoples and traditional populations of the world’s rainforests in their efforts to protect their environment and secure their customary rights. RFN was established in 1989 and works alongside local environmental, Indigenous, and human rights organizations in the main rainforest countries in the Amazon region, Central Africa, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. RFN is an independent organization, and part of the international Rainforest Foundation network, with sister organizations in the United Kingdom and the USA.
